Don't want to make the OS heavy

EeePC is a very weak computer. No other linux distro worked on it properly. So I really do not want to install things I do not need.

Youtube works fine. Just the full screen option is not available. I guess I'd better cope with it.

Thanks for help, anyway

No success with installation

I tried to follow installation instructions on SeaMonkey page (which is basically to create new folder and extract tar of the new version there). But new Version of SeaMonkey wouldn't run: # seamonkey XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/seamonkey-2.49/libmozgtk.so: libgtk-3.so.0: cannot open share...

The idea is that regulating computer behavior is (should be) easier than peoples', no? (though in reality it seems to be the opposite?) Especially when you have a small kid (2,5 years) versus OS supported with community of hundreds of its funs. No? I think one of the reasons why the kid keeps pushin...

How to protect system from multiple clics?

I know puppy is not designed for kids specifically. But it is still very convenient to setup puppy linux on an old laptop with small HDD and allow a kid to play with it. But the problem is that old laptops are slow. And small kids are not good in waiting. They keep klicking the icon on desktop deman...

I guess I should have explained better: I am setting up an old nettbook for my grandsun (2,5 years old). He usually forgets to shut down the computer (although I put big shutdown icon on desktop). So the netbook is all time switched on, but sometimes power goes off and the battery can only work for ...

Modification of menu in puppy lucid

In old puppies I remember it was possible to modify the menu and submenus. I can not find such option in GUI of lucid puppy. Is that still possible? Or not any more?

Look, but Bootflash just makes flash bootable and than installs the puppy-linux to it (meaning it puts sfs file on flash and some other stuff).

But I want to install iso file of other distribution, not the puppy, on flash.

How to do that?

Hi, Puppeee is based on Puppy 4.31 which is not meant to be compatible with Ubuntu's repository, although you will get *some* things to work. There was a game version of Puppeee at one stage, you could search for that, and it may have the games you are looking for. A quick search of the forum also ...
