Pointer stuck in Tahrpup
SOLVED. I have had tahrpup installed for some time but when I recently booted up I found I could not move the pointer. except with the 'tab' key which wasn't much help; I tried a few things such as a simple reboot and then booting from a new installation i.e. selecting choice '0', but in all cases t...

To Galbi. Saludos amigo! I am using the Thunderbird email client. As it happened my problem occurred with the email notifying me of this message: I down loaded the message to 'inbox' then clinked on the message from murga-linux. to 'open in browser' to be greeted with the message 'choose an applicat...

Problem with links in emails
I have been having trouble with corrupted links on downloaded messages which on, clicking respond with a message similar to 'open with an application' and are unfathomable to me. I am running slacko 5.3 on a Siemens Fujitsu Esprimo desktop. For example; after receiving an email message (from eBay pe...

Links in email don't work right
After clicking on a newly downloaded site I or an email frequently get connected to a message saying 'go to an application' rather than the link I was expecting. Can someone tell me how to correct this please?

Glad to say I have now resolved this problem. The authentication setting in 'Inbox/ Edit/ server settings /security settings was wrong. It should have been STARTTLS normal password. I must have tinkered with the setting to "None" I'll mark this as 'solved'. - - - SOLVED - - -

Thanks for all your very helpful emails. Unfortunately my computer is not behaving as it should and is not saving properly to the hard disc. I might have to start a using tablet I recently bought until I get things back to normal; so there will be some delay in chasing up my lost emails I am afraid.

I am running a 3GHz ESPRIMO with tahrpup 6. I few days ago I found that my printer (an HP psc 1200) refuses to print. I tried to print a test page from CUPS and got the error message "A user name and password are being requested by http//local host 603" I have looked at a few possible caus...

Best strategy to back up Puppy -slacko 5.7?
I am running Slacko 5.7 on a Siemens Esprimo P5905 at 3GHz. To recover from crashes I want to install a backup file. Can someone tell me the easiest way of doing this please? Also can the necessary software be downloaded as a PUPPY PET file? Thanks for all help received.

My machine is an Esprimo P5905 and am running Slacko 5.7. at 3GHz. Recently I was reading an e-mail and clicked on 'print' causing the machine to crash. To: Galbi. Thanks for your reply but it does not help me much without the name and full details of the relevant puppy linux software required. I managed to do the same thing about a year ago using peasy scan etc. as on puppy, but I forget how. There was no need for any external utility. I am relucta...
