Nice package. Works fine. The modules available for BitNami don't state whether they are for MySql or PostgreSql, and so I got caught with the first 2 modules I tried to run on LAPP. Had to d/l their LAMP stack to get it all happening. BitNami is a great system, and it is the quickest and easiest wa...

Hi, Yes, I looked at Voipbuster, but it didn't appear to give me what I was wanting. I have no ADSL or PSTN line these days. My only phone was Mobile, and my internet is 3G, and after extensive research, decided to go with my ISP's VOIP service, as to me, it seemed the only way to get what I wanted....

To get SMS on computer, your ISP has to be happy to support it. It is not the same as using a phone, even 'tho they use the same system. Your 3G data plan is just that, data. Your phone is phone and data. To get SMS on computer, your ISP has to allocate an additional 'phone number' for the SMS acces...

HEADS-UP: Counterfeit Kingston Data Traveller

The last 2 Data Travellers I have bought off Ebay have been copies. They work OK, but write speeds are very slow. Bought from different sellers, they both have a little silver oval sticker on them, which is not shown in the pic that the sellers display. The stickers have 2 letters on them, probably ...

Phoner and PhonerLite

I have used Jitsi, Twinkle, SFLPhone, Ekiga, etc, and this is the one I prefer. I was told about PhonerLite by my VOIP provider, who is also my ISP, and they use it for diagnosing customers' problems. It is a WINE app, and also works on MS-Windows, if you must. :twisted: http://www.phonerlite.de/ind...

sent. It seems that the problem is a command not recognised. I can't give you an output from pgprs as I don't have it set up. I normally use the 3G dongle plugged into one of the 4 Eth or Wireless routers. I only put it in the computer to test Frisbee for you. If everyone used a router there would b...

It is great to see Puppy network connectivity starting to catch up with other distros. I uninstalled Frisbee and tried your latest. Eth and WLAN work fine, 3G fails to connect with an exit status 8. I don't have ADSL. Good to see that authorisation is now optional in this. On other distros now, ever...

@ETP,

I like that.

It's a pity that the Aussie accent sounds like a Brit with a broom up his arse. :(

Would be better if it didn't rely on being online, 'tho.

Cheers.

FlareGet

As a long time user of WGET, I am now using Flareget. I seem to be getting even faster downloads with this. It is like FlashGet and FlashGot, but better. IMHO. Highly recommended. http://flareget.com/ It supports almost all 32 and 64 bit Debian, RPM and Pacman based Linux Distributions. The supporte...
