Thanks to all who replied.

What are the pro's/con's of 'get_iplayer' vs the official 'iplayer desktop'.

Has anyone tried to install the official s/w under a Live/persistant puppy?

Thanks again.

Fellow Linux Newbie here.

Any developments?

Is Nokia HSDPA currently working in Puppy?

I would like to switch an MS box to Puppy too and wish to tether it to a Nokia X6, (very similar to the 5800).

Is it possible to do this with a (Persistent?) Live version of Puppy?

Thanks.

Any experience of/thoughts on Adobe...

Bitdefender

Hello All, I am completely new to Linux. I simply have some old x86 boxes and am assessing what I will need to install in order to carry out my online activities under Linux, (a 'Persistent Live' version for the time being). It's only really used for surfing the web; but I don't want to delete the c...

I have also tried out f-prot but maybe the xf-prot version. While I did that I found a thread and forgot to bookmark it and it was about many such anti-vir programs and the winner was Bitdefender and as number to or second runner up was avast but them did not even mention F-prot. Maybe because it i...
