That's interesting. My version of Pmount is quite different. I'm using Puppy Precise and the Pmount application is much more simple. It does not give options for auto mounting. I have looked in the repositories but no other version of Pmount is there, nor is the Startmount there. This seems like a v...

Partition on hard drive, USB drive, CD/DVD, what?
Sda2. It is a partition on the hard drive. Sorry, I thought I had stated that somewhere.

Weird. I just put this as a script in /root/Startup, and it works well for both my windows and linux partitions: #!/bin/sh mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/sdb1 mount /dev/sdb3 /mnt/sdb3 mount /dev/sdb5 /mnt/sdb5 mount /dev/sdb6 /mnt/sdb6 I think I noticed something. My script is very...

Low sound from Gateway N250 netbook

I have a Gateway N250 netbook. Lucid Puppy 5.2.5 runs well on it except the sound is very very low and cannot be increased. I suspect this may be a driver problem. Can anyone tell me where I can find a driver for this?

Thanks

OK, I'm embarrassed now. I switched to Slacko 5.3 and it recognized my hardware right off. Still not sure what the problem was with Wary, but Slacko is fine.

Well, that was a major fail. I did finally find an inf file on my windows 7 machine. It was NETwNs32.inf, loaded it, but Pup says it failed.

Wary 5.3 not recognizing network components

I've been a Puppy user since version 4, but for some reason it seems to be getting worse with each new release. I just downloaded Wary 5.3 for my Dell Latitude E6520. Network setup does not recognize any network drivers, not wireless or wired. All versions before on other machines worked seamlessly,...
