Need Nvidia legacy for k-3.9.11

Can anyone provide a link for nvidia 304.xx for k-3.9.11? I'm using a nvidia geforce 6200 and would like to use it instead of nouveau.

Any help is appreciated.

Ooop. It looks like there is 2 rows in file doing the same thing. /root/.packages/PKGS_MANAGEMENT At the end of the file there should be only one like this: PKG_REPOS_ENABLED=' Packages-ubuntu-raring-main Packages-ubuntu-raring-multiverse Packages-ubuntu-raring-universe Packages-puppy-noarch-offici...

That pre suffix is sure sign that PPM udpate has failed. If there is none of those, the processing of databases has not failed. I dont know what went wrong. I suppose you have restarted X for testing that something in /tmp is not interfering. Restarting X flushes /tmp content. I restarted x and sti...

dogbert0360. I just updated PPM, I didnt update puppy databases, just ubuntu ones. I updated ok and PPM restarted as it should. You should check /root/.packages. If there are in the middle of the processing files like /root/.packages/Packages-ubuntu-raring-main pre , it indicates that processing of...

PPM stopped working...

Just installed Upup 3.9.8.1 and was able to update PPM. When I attempted to do a restart it would not come back up. All I got was a brief window about updating list. I kept waiting and trying but nothing happened.

What can I do to get my PPM back working?

( peebee ) " Hi there It is possible to "grow your own" nvidia driver using shinobar's get-nvidia pet after downloading the appropriate 304.88 nvidia "run" file + kernel sources + devx sfs. However as I've already done this I have uploaded the driver (SFS only) here - 28MB &...

Update....

Well now it seems to be fine. I went into PPM update and chose the ones I wanted and left it on while I slept for several hours. When I woke up I went to check and it was finished. It still wasn't right and I did some fan-dangling and now I have the software indexes that I want. What I want to know ...

Keep fighting!!!

(@zorinms) Sorry that you had a bad experience using Puppy Linux. It seems to me that you installed "Precise Puppy 5.4" which is a new release from Puppy founder Barry K. I too, had the same thing happen and this could be a serious bug flaw. Barry in his blog post is working on a service p...

(@p310don) Downloaded Clementine.pet and installed but would not work. I was able to find amarok 1.4 in .sfs and surprisingly it worked. Not as nice as Clementine but I'll take it. And yes I know Clementine is a amarok knockoff. Can't understand why Clementine is so hard to get working on Puppy Linu...

Good to hear puppyluvr and hope and pray that you will have some success soon.

Stick with it and I know you will make it work. And when you do I hope that you will use the name "Archie" to name the new Pup.

Well I understand this is an old post topic but I'm going to add my 2 cents... I would like to see a Puppy using Arch Linux ( I affectionately refer to the Puppy as "Archie" ). From what I've read from this forum is that it has been very difficult to develop because of the rolling release ...

What proprietary nvidia driver are you using? Is there one in the repo's other than 304?

If there is then I will update my repo's so that I can use them.
