great stuff, presumably you found the missing files on the cd? or extracting from an ISO image? Actually, after ticking off that "boot" part of the partition i was no longer required to find any files. Basically followed this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxVOH3mo3Gw&...

I appreciate your input folks and i'm trying hard to get that initial FULL INSTALL (don't like booting from CD or USB) but working with PUI (which is supposed to guide you through the process ha!) i come across a request: "Please find latest Puppy files vmlinuz, init.gz and puppy_slackko etc. t...

How to dual boot Puppy with Windows 7?

From what i've read and experienced, it isn't easy to run Puppy side by side within Windows 7. Would it be safe to assume that using EaseUS Partition Master, it would be "easy" to create all the partitions Puppy needs? If so, which partitions are needed ? Thanks! --- BTW, is it possible to...

Was no longer able to sign into that start-up part of the login options.
Or rather, i could, but it would be a dead end street as the program would try to resolve some issues.

@rcrsn51 Yes, i can create as many partitions as needed. I have Easus, an excellent program for that. Yup, tried to create "savefile" on NTFS Windows. If i'm not mistaken, it would seem proper to first create a new "unallocated" partition and install Puppy there. Then to create t...

Well, to follow up on my latest experience...

Installed Puppy with Windows installer.
It went as expected (just like install via CD) until i tried to save data (which i read was something not to do). Guess we'll have to study the matter a bit more.

I may have clicked to fast! Had two NTFS partitions (normal) + one unallocated i intended to use for Puppy. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an "undo" option once you've selected the "create partition" one. Did i inadvertently select the principal NTFS partition (or ...

Was the video link i gave no longer valid? Anyway, me make booboo in following his directives (forgot to create partition table first). Try to correct after (too late!) and somehow, ended up wiping off the whole disk (with Windows 7) and thus ended up re-installing it. Breath! Puppy feels so much fa...

Puppies are cute (as long as they're not 5 of them barking 24h/day in your neighborhood)! I found a link to frugal install on this thread but the link leads you to a non existing page. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=597 Did find a full "frugal" install tutorial on Y...

Wow! Puppyluvr! You caught me off guard. Wasn't expecting such a fast answer! :) Okay, i'm thinking about full install via CD. Last time i dabbed with Linux was openSUSE's latest. Their Grub apparatus made EasyBCD useless so i had no other option than to do full Windows install. Don't want to do tha...

How to uninstall Puppy?

Well, actually my question is two-fold.

If i install EasyBCD, is it possible to remove installed version of PuppyLinux ?

I didn't choose the right option for the monitor (screen) and can't find the option to change it. I don't want to install it that way.
