And FB has mountains of cash so they'll be 'happy' to pay some fines here and there and that's the end of it. In that case, perhaps they need a mountain of a fine. Though you'd think $5,000,000,000 would be a pretty big mountain. Perhaps an additional order of magnitude, or additional fines around ...

Their Nuclear Chakras are too powerful, they must have trained under the Triangle Mime himself, after he was banished from his home dimension for destroying five cities at once (don't ask how he did it .)

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've... All jokey jokes aside, getting to the current topic at hand, I believe it would all depend on what hardware is in your machine if you want to go full libre. If you were to go for a machi...

I've always been a Tcl kind of guy, but honestly I've been thinking of moving to Python. Decent amount of support, highly understandable code and the people who use it typically know how to use the toilet (here's looking at you Java)

good lord, I actually remember working on a spreadsheet program in Tcl/Tk a while back. And that was just to see if it could be done.

Seems like all you need mainly is TkTable and you'd be surprised how well it can work. If anyone wants to look at the code, I might see able uploading it someplace.

At times like this, there is one quote I find tends to help me out: "Cooler heads will prevail" But I will admit, if there is a rise in nastiness, perhaps we need to counter that with a rise in common courtesy, and general decency imho. Though I must admit, this does rely upon good faith, ...

That's the best protection that they can offer. I second this. That and perhaps having security cameras without a ...

Second, honestly, hasn't the Klan been on the decline for decades now You would think so. But be wrong. Why base it on anything else? Why not base a Puppy on Puppy. Build our own pets, or better yet SFSes. I believe an SFS is easier to update (an issue lots of people have) programs. I hear you on that, but at the same time, I feel like Arch works very well for what we need, at least as an initial sta...

Yes, I see so many interesting projects, that have been forgot or lost, bits and pieces that could be put together to build a new kind of radically small, lean-and-mean Puppy. A new pup built with xlib apps, tinyx, and gtk 1.2, would be great. There were such nice gtk1.2 apps that we abandoned. Als...

For crying out loud, why does ANY distro have multi-user, to restrict apps from doing much damage in case of compromise, for one. WHy does Fat-Dog bother to have it? All we 32-bit users want is a 32-bit version. No need for all this. Wouldn't it be nice if Puppy were the distro to recommend to peop...
