I used this: mkfs.ext4 files.4fs

Works as far as makes a mounted drive when clicked. Now on to encryption.

I knew what you meant- mounted. If you close out during a write, like a copy op.. I'd think OK. Tmrw.. Thanks. Is it possible to make a new 4fs file? I thought so before but turns out available instructions is 2fs type. Isn't 4fs newer with more capabilities such as regarding error checking?

Closing open Save files, on shutdown

Please forgive me if this is a repeat from somewhere... just please point me a new direction. Thanks.

If I have open, during a session, another save file (such as a 3fs or 4fs file) will it get closed properly when I shutdown? If not, is there a way to do that automatically in that case?

Accidentally broke 'Add/Remove Programs'

Where do I find a list of dependencies for the Add/Remove Programs (/usr/local/petget/pkg_chooser.sh) -- what allows it to run? I used the "Remove builtin packages" to remove things like Sea Monkey and some games, nothing that I would have thought went to anything else but now Add/Remove w...

Hi and thanks for this much needed simplicity to get LibreOffice working with new Java update. I used 0.21 pet to get LibreOffice 3.6.5.2 on Slacko Puppy 5.3.3 frugal. However, (1) document types are not associated with the LibreOffice programs in Rox. These would include any that LibreOffice can op...

Thanks!

It's working with Firefox 16.0.2 on Slacko 5.3.3, except here: www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp. I use other java pages, including my company's choice of VPN (Juniper) and it works great. Thanks! Everything seems to be working great (including LibreOffice :) ). The Java plugin seems to be worki...

Yes, I do. Thanks. I was thinking that it was added somehow when checking that swapfile manager made the swapfile.
Burunduk wrote:Do you have the swapfile manager installed? For some reason this tool puts the swapon and sysctl (to set swapiness) commands into the /etc/profile.local file.

urxvt runs command on start?

I have spent a few hours looking for this and finally found it in /etc/profile.local. Cleared it and now all is well again. Thanks for helping.

Strange though as I did a contents search for "swapon" in all files and this didn't come up as a result.

urxvt runs command on start?

Thanks. Slacko 5.3.3. This happens from wbar or from a terminal session or when using rox (click on urxvt in /usr/bin). This is happening when launching rxvt also.
