I have used Puppy 5.2.8 as a rescue disk plenty of times, and it still works on this machine+screen. I have just downloaded Precise 5.4.3 and burned it OK. On booting it gets to "loading kernel modules ..." and then the screen goes blank, and the screen loads its own message "D-SUB - ...
