Lucid5.2.8 PPM upgrade

Hi, aktually the PPM section Puppy Wikka does not work so tell me how to upgrade Puppy Package Manager (PPM) in official Lucid5.2.8. There is the revitalization project Lucid5.2.8.7 (Sulu) and PPM working 300% better then in official one. Is there any PPM pet package to easy way upgrade?

So you probably need some similar firmware driver SFS like the fdrv_4.1.11_tahr64_2.sfs but for Slacko? Go ask for it in the Slacko Topics. There is the 'fdrv' sfs in the Slacko64 repo but after installation nothing better. The network still not working for me. Slacko 64bit (Slackware based) and Lx...

witekjeden is the idea to create a Q4Puppy or to do a Mintpup, Debiandog kind of thing?? Only Q4pup. Debiandog and Mintpup exist, Q4pup not yet. You should be able to use Q4os live cd to make frugal install saving changes in save file or save partition Yes i know, there is the live iso of new versi...

Yes, i know. But i think about complete new system compiling every new version of Q4os, something like long time support. Q4os has an active developers team and it is the hopefull base distro in my opinion.
.
Sorry for my english crashes.

Hi.
There is a new wersion of Q4os:
http://q4os.org/downloads1.html
Question: how to compile the Puppy or the Puppy-like system from Q4os? Is this possible? Please step by step.
.
Q4os is the only(?) system with the legendary KDE3.5.xx (Trinity) desktop so it will be great job convertion into Puppy.

A new version pgprs is not stable yet in my opinion. An old-looking versions i use since Puppy4.3.1, next Wary5.1.2, Slacko5.1.3, any problems newer hapend. I suggest implemented the old-looking pgprs while a new versions stay stable.

Re: gprs-connect

witekjeden : I don't have a GPRS modem so I can't test, but I think you are right, there is a flaw in the pgprs-connect script. I believe that line 6 should have an & on the end before the #, i.e . /etc/ppp/gprs.conf & #130812... Attached is the corrected script, just unzip and copy to /usr...
