I installed that file and it says the package was successfully installed under Utility, but when i go to usr/share/applications - i dont see any Teamviewer application, so dont think it has actually installed Teamviewer.

sorry for the late reponse - we had a new addition to the family and its been hectic to say the least!!

anyway, i checked usr/bin and there is a file called teamviewer and not teamviewer7

Yes - sorry Semme.

I just realised your method as well - but i think it is version 2.4.5 as my directory is /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.5/winbind.so

so will look for a later version

hi,

does anyone know where i can find a script to autoconnect my gprs modem automatically on start-up rather than manually pressing connect?

Tannaroo- this: teamviewer --daemon start should fire it. To autostart, the same as a script and placed in ~/Startup. thanks semme - but can you kindly explain as I am quite new. Installed Teamviewer 8 .deb file but it won't run

hi all,

i downloaded the latest teamviewer 8 deb file and installed.

when i run program it has an error saying "the teamviewer daemon is not running"

i'm using precise puppy 5.5.

any ideas on how to get teamviewer working?

Thanks - I got it.

I made the changes via usb/bin/teamviewer (which is RAM)

and then can save it to CD (mnt/sr0/usr/bin/teamviewer).

after all that, my program teamviewer doesnt work so there is something else wrong which i need to investigate

sorry jasper - i'm just not following.

if i take the CD out then mnt/sr0 is blank (since the files that i need to change are on the CD0.

if the CD is in then mnt/sr0 has all of the files.

somehow, i need to unmount sr0 but still access/change the files on sr0 - is this possible?

thanks jasper when i unmount it though, the CD/tray pops out of the drive, so i cant access the file. and everytime i try to open the file on the CD that needs changing, the CD mounts (i.e. little red cross). or there another way to access the file by preventing the Cd to mount?
