01micko, Installed Slacko 6.3.0 using the LICK boot-loader on a eee pc 1100 and it works just great. Being that this 'puter refuses to boot from a usb key this is a great alternative to make a Win 7 machine actually usable. I did use the Slacko 5.7 .exe file for a while, but this is a little more up...

Hey, Noryb, thanks so much for the lick boot-loader. I have an eeepc 1100 which refuses to boot off of a usb key and because there is no optical drive, I was using Slacko 5.7 which came as a .exe file. But with your boot-loader I was able to upgrade my system to Slacko 6.3.0 32 bit. Lick worked like...

Thanks for the link, it is very interesting, I may have a go at it. Although I'm quite pleased with Slacko; but we'll see.

Slacko 5.7 Saves My Computer

Hi, After being absent from this forum for a very long time, I've found my way back. The reason is because of Slacko 5.7. Some time ago I bought an Asus EEE 1100 PC to play around with. It came with Windows Starter 7 and it had 1 gig of ram. This thing ran slower than my old Dell 486 DX. After upgra...

Hello, This is a somewhat customized Slacko 5.7 running on a Asus EEE 1100 PC. The desktop has been changed with JQ8 icons added. The wallpaper I've had for a very long time; so I don't remember where it came from. Enjoy. [img] [img]http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/Amherst56/Screenshot_2015...

My desktop is 4.1.2 barebones with added programs, fonts, wallpaper, and general eye-candy. What started out as a 58 meg OS is now only 97 megs after a remaster. This has everything that I need for daily use; well almost. Here's a pic. Enjoy. [img] [img]http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc374/Amhe...

The "bubble" fix worked great - thanks. Also I posted a pic of my desktop in the "My Puppy Is More Gorgeous Than Yours" section. Enjoy.

My favorite is 4.1.2 barebones which I am currently building into the OS that I can really use. It's very stable, easy to work with, and runs great on older hardware.

The project that I have started is to build a 4.1.2 Puppy to use for everyday needs. For the last seven years I have been using my Mac, but age is starting to catch up to it. The Mac is going upstairs and will be used only for important things to try to prolong it's life. Started with 4.1.2 barebone...

Been a long time since I have posted to this forum, but I had to stop lurking and chime in here. I was intrigued by Tuxtoo's website and had a visit. Very nice job and a lot of great stuff there. I downloaded a few things and went and dug out my copy of 4.1.2 barebones and had a go. I have a project...
