I didn't instruct you on editing anything -- yet. Look for the one or two packages you're missing and confirm one way or another if PPM makes them available. Semme, this is getting to be too difficult and time consuming and with a potential for damage when I get something wrong. The bit about adding a repository is taking a lot of reading, etc. Does there happen to be a package that will let me easily add a repo ? I have tried Slax linux and the gpredict...

I am working on getting the ubuntu trusty repositories in.
This is my 1st time doing this so it will take a while.
It looks like it involves editing 2 files so here goes.

Trying to install gpredict, libraries missing

from the repository and I get an error with a lot of text which basically says that these packages are not available.
libgoocanvas3_0.15-1_i386.deb and
libgoocanvas-common_0.15-1_all.deb


Any idea how I can solve this ?
