My mistake. dd does not make it bootable.mikeb wrote:I believe this is only valid for hybrid ISO ... unsure if any puppies use this.. Indeed i tried it myself and fdisk comes back with invalid partition table and did not boot.
As an alternative, unetbootin does work to make a bootable USB flash drive.

Puppy universal installer works well for me.
