Wifi
This might help. I've been running wifi on Puppy for a year on an old IBM NetVista with a very cheap (25$) TP-Link wifi usb adapter that uses the common rt73 driver. It works great even though the router is on the second floor. If you find the signal is too weak, you can make a parabolic dish for it. A...

Hi Mu, Regarding getting rid of the upper taskbar...it worked but I couldn't get a point-and-click menu. Having 008.2 on another box, I imported my icewm prefs to 008.3. That gave me the option to enable JWM and get the point-and-click menu as you will see in the screenie. While it might not be the ...

Menu
First off, while I'm not very active on this forum, I have nonetheless been following the new developments via a good friend of mine (we met on Grafpup a while back) and have returned to Puppy (Muppy in this case) after two years of distro hopping. Congrats to Mu for a fantastic job and bringing BK'...

upgrading hd install
Hi everyone, I have a Pizza Puppy hd install and I'd like to know what my options are for upgrading the version. I do recall a previous upgrade option from the Puppy UniversaI Installer in Puppy but I could not find a similar option in Pizza Puppy (or maybe I missed it somehow). Can it be upgraded e...

re mount
Success...! It finally mounted. I had run fsck before but I should've run it again like I do on OS X when I got the message "filesystem has been modified". Now I ran it with the [-nv] option. Then I ran "mount -t auto /dev/hda2 /mnt/hda2" and presto...It became accessible. Thanks...

re mount
A slight correction...both partitions hda2 and hda4 are ext3.
As far as I can tell "fdisk -l" reflects fstab but I'm new to this and could be missing something. See pic.

re mounting
Thanks....Yes it is an ext3 but it's an hd install. If push comes to shove,
(I really don't exchange files between the two and when I do I use the FAT32 on hdb) I'll reformat to ext2 and reinstall.
Seems odd there would be a bug between ext2 and ext3.

Can't mount PizzaPup partition from other Linux
Hi everyone, Can anybody tell me why I can't mount the partition (hda2) containing Pizzapup from another Linux in this case PCLinux OS (hda4). I get an error message in the terminal saying " wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda2, missing code page or other error. When I peruse th...

re keyboard
While ctrl+shift produced no results after pasting the line in an Rxvt terminal, keymapper gives me the accents (é à ù ô) when I right click the french flag. I added Keymapper to MU's autostart to have it readily available. The truth be it known is that I should invest in a new keyboard (lol). Thanks...

Well I did download a new locale (fr ca ) but when it got selected I restarted X only to find a bizare switcharoo between some keys (ex. z became w) not very handy if you have to use the prompt...(lol) On the other hand, I don't think it's very usefull to have to restart X everytime you switch keybo...

Re K layout
Sorry can't find the advanced option in setup/wizard/mouse/keyboard. And when I try to download new locales it reports that I don't have a valid internet connection. Remember I'm in PizzaPuppy.

How to change keyboard language on the fly?
In PizzaPuppy is there a utility for the dock that would enable a fast keyboard layout switch....without using to the wizard or affecting the menus ? Often enough I have to write in french (accents) and switch back to english on the fly. I looked in
the PSI but I couldn't find anything.
Thanks,

re Conky
Yeah it is pretty cool. The transparency effect is far better than it was with Torsmo and I find it complements the graphics very well. I added the code line to the .icewm winoptions as indicated so I'm at a lost as to why I can't get it to work automatically (I guess I could launch it manually) on ...

How to have Conky show up on all workspaces?
Hi all,
I've installed MU's excellent autostart to get Conky going and two more workspaces to an already great PizzaPuppy and I'd like to know how I can have Conky show up on all four worspaces by default if possible.
Thanks,
