When it finds it, it finds the 5 or 6 other ones too. When it stops working, it doesn't find ANY! All other computers have no problems with it.

The wifi started working for a little bit, it worked long enough for me to email it to myself, then it went out again so I am having to post it here from a different computer. Pdiag is attached.

Thank you! So far the internet seems to be working. It was similar to browser linux in setting the wlan up. Hopefully I don't have the problems that I had with browser linux. Thanks again. EDIT: The only problem is that it keeps flashing that the personal memory is almost full. That is very annoying...

I am not sure of specs, it is a computer with no operating system. It had win xp a long time ago. It has a failed hard drive. That's all I know besides the 600 MB of RAM.

no wifi Precise puppy for live use on a usb drive.

I have a 2003 computer with only 600 mb of ram. My problem is that I can not connect to the internet. It isn't a problem with the card because I can connect on Browser Linux just fine, (the reason I am leaving browser linux is that the internet cuts out and it can't find it for a couple of days then...

It was made in 2003. Not sure how old that is classified as. It only has 600 something MB of ram. Can you give me a link to a Linux OS that I can always boot off of a flash drive instead of having a hard disk and the network is easy to set up? Legacy I cannot get the internet to work. It won't find ...

It has a cd / dvd player built in. It has like 600 MB of ram. It has a failed hard drive so I am just trying to find an OS that I can run off of a flash drive without installing to a hard drive. Browser linux works fine if I could get the internet to work 100% of the time instead of 50%. Puppy Linux...

I don't know much about it. It was given to my brother and it was messed up pretty bad, no markings so I don't know what kind of wireless chip it has. It does work though because Browser Linux will work for a little while before I can't find a network to connect to. The problem I had with puppy linu...

Browser Linux on 2003 Acer laptop with failed hard drive.

Once I first install it on the USB, it will find wireless networks and CAN connect to the internet, but after it is rebooted a few times, it loses the connection and it can't find any networks at all. There are at least 7 or 8 near me so I have plenty of options, on this laptop I can view them all, ...
