Hi there, just to share an experience (sorry if it is not the correct place) I have tried to install msttcorefonts using the Puppy Package Manager. It all seemed fine when installing the 'truetype' folder was created in '/usr/share/fonts/' , but at the end the fonts weren't there. Finally, I remembe...

I there! Great work on Puppy Tahr! :-) I have Frugal installed on sda1, and I placed the save file (folder type this time instead of .sf4) on sda3. But, on boot, the system won't reach the save file, perhaps because it is in a different partition? Is there a way to solve this issue? Or do I really n...

Hi Sunny! Thanks for your answers! Yes, I do not have this kswap0 problem with precise 32bit. (I am running on that right now) I can't remember if kswap0 also occurs when folding client is off. I've to check that out. and I have a traditional swap partition on /dev/sda5. I hope I can take a better l...

Hi there, a naive question: why is that fatdog continuously runs kswap0 (consumes 25% of my CPU) and puppy linux precise does not? is there any way to disable this process? can that even be done? I am using Folding@Home in FatDog with 3 cores performing continuously. With kswap0 consuming also the r...

Hi Sunny, Thanks a lot for your tips! :D By now I will continue solely on CPU because doing what you told me may require some more time :) but I will definitively look for it. I noticed that in fatdog the temp of my CPUs is about 5ºC higher, roughly. There is also the process kswap0 that is almost c...
