I've had a number of PNY flash drives act exactly as described - extremely slow to shutdown/write to savefile. Me - I'd simply try an install to another flash drive. Never had such issues with any other drives other than those pesky PNYs... :?

To summarize: CO2 is good (we all understand how photosynthesis works). So more CO2 must be OK. Nothing to worry about here. Que sera sera. I think it'd be neat if millions of non-China citizens who "know what they're getting into" were to actually install the app, and then go absolutely nuts texting all kinds of misleading, alarming, anti-gov't, terrorist-type fake "planning" stuff... and completely disrupt/turn the...

Ivan Sanders at Distrowatch just reviewed the latest Manjaro (Cinnamon) release and was really impressed with how well this new mhwd utility functioned, making for an easy, straightforward installation (excellent hardware recognition) and kernel swaps on his multi-video card (Optimus), late-model Le...

All even minimally ethically conscientious users of Google Chrome need to abandon it - NOW. No excuses. Pathetic and disgusting. There are websites I regularly visit that are completely, utterly unusable without an adblocker (uBlock Origin) installed and running - literally bringing an i7, 8G...

Well, take this for what it's worth - from this muddy-headed, part-time, relatively inexperienced Linux tinkerer/hack; Frankly, I see absolutely no reason whatsoever why Fred's brilliant Dog "mklive" script approach should not be the basis as the future Puppy build system; It appears far e...

Very cool weather site! Huge CPU/GPU overhead, tho. If you have Google Chrome installed, you can use the "create shortcut" feature to run it as a web app, separate from the main browser - off in some corner of the desktop.

I believe these are Windows programs. No - those are a brand-new set of Puppy WiFi tools, developed by stemsee himself - see here; http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=112660 That may be just what you're lookin' for, and certainly worth a shot. Thanks to Phil! :)

Here is a little stand-alone app that converts MP3 files to WAV format (or vice versa). Works a treat in my DebDog mklive spin (just a quick test); converted an 8.3 Mb/192 kbps mp3 into ---> a 61 Mb wav file incredibly fast (3 seconds or less!). Didn't even have time to catch/read/follow any of the...
