Thanks L18L and CatDude, Its probably worth noting that I have several partitions on the usb stick. Fatdog is on sdb2 which is a FAT32 labeled Fatdog. On this partition I have the vmlinuz Initrd and the fd64save.ext4. So I went ahead and removed the savefile option and added waitdev=10. So the waitd...

Are you suggesting not to use a savefile ever? Re-reading my first post i dont think i was very clear. I am booting Fatdog64 from a usb. The partition Fatdog resides on as well as the savefile is formated ext4. It doesnt appear any configurations i make get reloaded on the next reboot - i am basing ...
