Planegoofy, thanks for your report of success. Fortunately, your modem is not affected by the mode-switching issues. I am pleased to know it works, because it is of a different type (ACM) than I have been dealing with. rerwin, FWIW, I am using a fresh install of 4.2 and it didn't recognoze the mode...

SteveS, Patriot et al., Here are the svg files of the product key sticker I made based on steveS version. One has the keyboard image embedded and the other has the reference in the xml file changed from absolute to relative. To embed the image, I opened the original file and just selected Effects ->...

SteveS, When I get home from the office later tonight, I will post the svg files and a description of how I embedded the image. (I also want to make sure it works.) Patriot, I traced the puppy logo in inkscape and it should be easy to copy and add as a ghosted image to the sticker when I post the fi...

Patriot, I just found on inkscapes website how to embed images and how to make them relative, so I will package up the svg file both with the keyboard image embedded and as a reference file. This should give a good template to work from. After you edit the file in inkscape, you can then export as a ...

Steves, Micko I tried the svg file that you posted but it couldn't find the image file that you imported to inkscape. So.... I did it the hard way. I recreated the sticker from scratch in inkscape. I had to find a different background but it is close. I exported it to png since it has an attached bi...

gnome xdg menus didn't seem to work for me...
Hey rarsa, The puppy xdg structure and gnome menus pupgets didn't do anything after I installed them.... kinda gave up due to a lack of time then... The icon issues really were the problem... Puppy doesn't come with the hi-color default icons and the only way I could get them was to install xfce and...

Mark, Thanks for the quick reply. I will try this tonight. On another note, I will probably go through most of this excercise again when 2.14 is released with the devx code and use the new petget features to make dotpets of the various parts of kde and find somewhere to host them. Maybe we can tie t...

Update and missing xorg dev directory....
Hi all.. For anyone who may wonder, I figured out my problem with the kxdocker error abov. It is real simple, I was trying to save some time (being lazy  ) and I just grabbed the slackware kde files and used mkkde to create the kde install. I obviously didn't think this strategy through to har...

Hi, I am attempting to compile kxdocker on a full hd install of 2.13. I have copied the devx to the hard drive as well as the libs for kde. I then ran configure and make and make stops with the following error: grep: /usr/lib/./libstdc++.la: No such file or directory /bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/./...

Zepinto, Two possible options: For a nice maclike docker, try kxdocker ( http://www.xiaprojects.com/www/prodotti/kxdocker/main.php ). I plan on trying it and it only requires kdedirs to run. Also you might want to look at engage from Enlightenment, http://www.get-e.org/EFL_User_Guide/English/_pages/...
