Hi Thomas, Just a thought - what version of Puppy are you using.? As MU stated - 'ghttp' is no longer supported in the version 4.xx series - so you may have to do the download of the older package as MU indicated. As to the config file for 'ghttp' - the following is a copy of what my 'ghttp.cfg' fil...

USB Flash stick - multi frugal installs - no Pup_Save files

Hi, Is it possible to have several versions of Puppy as frugal installs to a single USB Flash stick WITH the associated 'Pup_save' files being saved to hard drive and NOT to the flash stick.? If so - I assume that one can set up GRUB to boot each individual Puppy version as and when selected - and s...

Do you have the required modem 'drivers' loaded - relevant to your specific modem..? @hladik, There are some Canon ppd.gz entries in the Gutenprint sub-directory...are those relevant? I don't use Gutenprint in CUPS - but I would say that probably yes - first though - do a 'backup' copy of that file - then open it up (I think it will be similar in format to the normal .PPD file) - th...

@rodrigt - works the same in Seamonkey..!! Just open up a new 'navigator tab' in Seamonkey : Then (as alienjeff stated) - Type "about:config" in the URL addy bar of Firefox ( substitute Semonkey ) and that's where it's set. 1) Right click anywhere in the about:config listing 2) select New ...

@trucker33377 - Remember with '.tat.bz2' files that one doesn't actually "install" them when you do the extraction - the files are only uncompressed to a folder - one then has to manually move / copy the files in the extracted folder to their correct folders within Puppy - usually to somew...
