Thanks. rbrehton, for the feedback. Should I still install it on my machine, do you think? Or save myself the trouble and use one of the online services (reverso or google, for example) when I need a quick translation? BFN. musher0 This isn't great, but if your offline it's something you can use. I...

Hello, rbrehton. My question is about the quality of the software itself: does it do a decent job of translating into your language? You probably have to refine a lot the resulting translation, yes? Thanks in advance. musher0 I got it to work and I think it does alright, not as good as Google Trans...

You can use a java app gui for apertium, is ugly but works. Just to let you know, I finally got it to work. Installing Java 8 did the trick, along with the other packages you also recommended. I downloaded the file "jre1.8.0_11_5.7.0.sfs" at http://puppylinux.org/wikka/JavaRuntimeEnvironm...

You can use a java app gui for apertium, is ugly but works. Java 6 didn't do it, so I re-installed puppy precise 5.7.1 retro and started over. This time I installed openjdk-7-jre_7u21-2.3.9 with dependencies and the other software packages you linked to. I select the apertium viewer in the "Pe...

Thanks L18L, I´ll try that.

@NILSONMORALES, thanks for the help and I wonder if you have any more advice? Do I need a newer version of Java? If so, which java software should I remove from what I have now? I have several different java packages as I mentioned in my last post.

Re: Apertium language translator

Where did you get that package from? A link would be helpful. I tried entering "apertium" in the command line and I get a usage format. Posting the output here (just copy and paste) might be helpful to help you. I found it by searching "apertium" in Puppy Package Manager, instal...

I have wary 5.5

I have wary 5.5. I was able to install xpupsay, but the frisbee for wary 5.3 won't install.

The download link for Frisbee+xpupsay-beta2-0912.pet version 1 isn't working for me. Is it available now somewhere else?

Or is there a Frisbee that will install in wary 5.5? thanks

Does anyone have the PET file for these? (OOo4kids1.3 and OOolight1.1) For some reason, my SFS converter won't do the job.

I downloaded from the link, followed directions and Opera is working. The file wouldn't run until I remamed it for some reason. I deleted all Opera files from a previous attempt to install another version to be safe. I downloaded and installed Opera 12.16 using the pet file from the link posted by Oscar. I checked start menu/internet but found nothing. I checked all start menus and found nothing there. I looked in Opera fold...

I like the idea of a bootable flash but I like the bootable puppy cd because it can't be corrupted if the session is closed. I was getting some keyboard bugs until I burned another puppy cd and closed the session.

I couldn't find a working page to download unrpm.pup but I found and installed unrpm.pet. It still won't open and says that I need unrpm.pup. I started a new topic but I...
