True - desperate times....! The point being, though, that they weren't designed for reuse. That reference you've provided - great find, by the way! - is packed with warnings about insufficient evidence, potential hazards and limitations (for example, not all masks can be decontaminated using the met...

Try a pressure cooker. A giant version is what hospitals use (Autoclave) It will be much more effective than trying dry heat if you have to sterilize anything. JB Please note, Autoclaves are only used to sterilise metal (scissors, tweezers etc). Plastic would definitely melt into a sticky puddle. A...

Yeah, I've occasionally had the same problem. I don't think the Tiny Core Forum minds your address, though, or you'd have had an error message like, 'Invalid email address'. Sometimes email providers block incoming messages before they get to your account. My workaround is that I have a couple of ad...

Limiting tabs loaded certainly works well on my 2GB machine, and normally modern browsers work well on that machine, except I sometimes forget to limit the number of tabs I open and occasionally thus run into a major freeze situation and have to reboot... wiak I used to have the same problem, till ...

Interesting idea. Could it be adapted to create an .sfs of an application I've installed myself? Thinking specifically of R, which I've installed on both BionicPup64 and DpupBuster64. It works on both, but the DpupBuster64 version is more up to date. It would save me a lot of time (and disk space!) ...

See also PipzDex's FlashPlayer_updater-1.9_1-Redux.pet in this thread: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=1044269 The reason why I use it: lots of web pages still use FlashPlayer, and I never know when I'm going to come across one! Firefox warns me when FlashPlayer's out of date, but doesn...

Hmmm ... I seem to remember having a similar issue ages ago, but can't remember what happened! It's definitely OK now, though. Any clues in /etc/X11/xorg.conf ? If it's any help, this is what it says in my keyboard section: Section "InputClass" Identifier "keyboard-all" MatchIsKe...

Cheers, PipzDex! Working perfectly on BionicPup64. :D After I applied the latest BionicPup64 update yesterday, GetFlash popped up to say that Flash needed updated. Unfortunately, the installation kept aborting. I noticed GetFlash was v1.7.4 and that PPM included v1.9.1, so I tried updating it there....

Global Warming was a term used about 'averages' but as Earth tries in vain to stabilize we are subject to violent fluctuations - hence, nowadays, the preferred term, I believe, is "Climate Change". Absolutely. Extreme weather events are an important part of the picture, and need to be see...

I own two EeePCs, a 700 (512MB RAM) and a 1000HE (2GB RAM). The 700 struggles with browsers, but does run with Slacko-5.7.2. The 1000HE skips along quite happily with Dpup Stretch 7.5, and I've recently upgraded it to Buster 8.0. I see the 900HD comes with 1GB RAM, which might still run Dpup Stretch...

At 120 dollars per hour dev time, 2 to 3 minutes filling in online forms will only cost 4 to 6 dollars per day (unless also counting time to get computer booted up, and website found, and the hour to get comfortable, woken up and in-the-mood, and started). Alternatively, buy me a daily cup of coffe...
