Firefox seems to never be happy with what it needs for sound to work. Uninstall whatever firefox you have installed by using Puppy Package Manager(PPM) PPM>uninstall May also need to uninstall Apulse. On the desktop is Quickpet icon. Install Firefox offered there. no sound in Mozilla FF--Solved

I recently installed BionicPup 8 64 bit (live on a USB thumb drive) on my Dell Latitude D620 laptop and it is working well with sound in the laptop and Palemoon. However, I also installed Firefo 69.0.2 and apulse. FF works fine, but I have no sound. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but tha...

Success! I used BParted to set the flag on the USB drive to "boot". Then, I used Unetbootin to burn the puppy iso to the USB drive. Then, I modified the syslinux.cfg to pmedia=usbflash. Now, it works perfectly on the D620 which doesn't have a HD. Thank you for your patience and help with t...

bigpup and mikeslr, As mentioned earlier, I used the Linux version of Unetbootin (version 608) to make a USB Flash Live BionicPuppy. When I tried to boot from it in the D620 laptop, I got a message that no Operation System was detected. I understand from your posts that this is not surprising since ...

Sorry for omitting the info on my laptops. One is a Dell Latitude D610 and the other is a Dell Lattitude D620. Both have 2GB of RAM.
The D610 is running Linux antiX 17.
The D620 does not have a HD so I have to use a USB Flash drive.
I have been trying to settup BionicPuppy.

I discovered that antiX Linux has a utility that can create a Live Puppy USB flash drive from the Puppy ISO. The only problem is that the USB flash drive will be "read only" I could then boot up Puppy using the Live Puppy USB flash drive and use Puppy utilities (YaPl) to create another Liv...
