Hi, tazoc. Thanks for this beautiful and well-thought out Pup.

How do I prevent the wine sfs from loading during start up. I don't have any use for it. Will deleting the wine sfs from the 64-515 folder work (I have a frugal install)? Thanks.

Or you can always download the 30 day trial version and see if it "fits".

For Yahoo messaging, try Gyachi.

Here is a thread for Gyachi: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 19&t=48833

It's old but the installer still works. Use cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com for the server.

Thanks for Puppy Lupen, puppyluvr. It worked well off the LiveCD-Compiz and all. However, when I did a full install, it asked for Lupu_539.sfs, when the one in the LiveCd is Lupu_529.sfs, so I wasn't able to install it successfully. Any workaround?

Thanks.

I agree with some of TS's comments. However, I found my ideal Puppy UI by removing most (well, all) of the desktop icons, then install Launchy-one of the most unobtrusive, light and intuitive launchers I was able to run on Puppy.

Uninstalling Default Macpup Applications

I'm building a barebone Macpup to be used as base for a Utility LiveCD used in fixing computers. I remember coming across a pet for removing default applications much like Pet-Be-Gone. Can anyone point me to where I can download said application? I can't seem to find it even after using search. Than...

Differences between Puppy and Ubuntu from a layperson's viewpoint: 1) Can install Puppy in many different ways in almost any storage device one's PC's BIOS can boot from. Try installing Ubuntu on a 1GB USB drive. 2) It's so easy to remaster Puppy. I created a puppy remaster based on Macpup51 which w...
