Thanks Musher! That was an entertaining list of puzzles to unravel! :) I had no idea you were a windows manager Wizard . Seeing as your other tricks were in existing links, I kept going and found your last url on my own ;) http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=889310#889310 The only other...

Re: xenialpup64

the ffconvert error is odd as it is working for me .... libvdpau.so.1 is a symlink to libvdpau.so.1.0.0 ... can you right click on /usr/lib/libvdpau.so.1.0.0 and choose properties...should be the same as attached image. I rebooted and that error went away, and my file (currently) matches yours. I t...

Re: xenialpup64

pplog not working. xcalc shouldn't be in the menu as it will crash the desktop...so don't touch! :wink: A few more that don't work for me: - Fun -> Rubix cube puzzle (its link in ppm doesn't work also) - Multimedia -> Bacon Recorder - Audio - Multimedia -> FFConvert v1.4.2 (opens but lib error mess...

Xenialpup64 (like Slacko64) did not detect my b43 wireless, so I did change_kernels to the tahr64 one and now it works. :)

I did just changed my resolution on Slacko as it is just to hard to see at what is was above. I'll see how long it stays here and hope it doesn't revert back to maximum resolution. Yes and it still reverts to max resolution of 1600x900 which is hard on these old eyes. Hi poorguy, I had the same iss...

Works! Posting from it now. :D Feels smooth and fast. Good work 666philb! Update: Palemoon started to get really laggy after about 40 minutes and slowed everything down to a crawl (100% CPU usage), not sure why as all I had open was a few Puppy Forum tabs. Right-clicking it and pressing Kill fixed i...

Good work 01micko! It's always nice to see a new slacko update. :) Something I noticed today: When I change any preferences in GNOME-MPlayer (Edit -> Preferences), then exit and restart it, the changes don't stick. It looks like this worked in Slacko 5.7 by creating a file called /root/.config/dconf...

@hamoudoudou/Pelo:

I've just made a pet to open doc/rtf/ppt/xls files in Rox, by piping leafpad through catdoc, so you don't need to install Abiword! docx will still show up as garbage though. Enjoy Image

Hi LazY Puppy, I have 0.8.4 in Slacko 6.3.0.6, which I think was pulled from here (gtkdialog-0.8.4-i686_slk600.pet): http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pet_packages-slacko14.1/ And I guess the one for Tahr 6.0.5 is here (gtkdialog4-0.8.4.pet): http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pet_packages-tahr...

Slacko 14.1 with Kernel #15. 4.1.11 and # 11. 3.18.22 both worked for me. One interesting oddity I noticed: When running ./2createpackages on glibc (2.17), the temporary folder /lib/incoming (3.2MB) doesn't get removed, so there's two copies of the same 23 libraries (in /lib and /lib/incoming). It ...
