gnumeric
Perhaps I just don't know how to use the packager. When I search for gnumeric in "all repositories" it is not found. When I look at the configure page I find that the unicorn entry is checked, but grayed out. When I click on "add a repository help" I get no response. The same sit...

CUPS problem
I downloaded a new copy of the iso, and CUPS now works perfectly. I feel dumb for not doing this sooner.

How to use 32-bit HP 5610 in Slacko64? (Solved)
Slacko64 runs faster on my machine than any other puppy except Quirky, and since Quirky is no longer an maintained distro I would like to use Slacko64 as my main OS. However, Slacko64 does not recognize my printer (a 32 bit HP 5610), nor am I able to install a PDF printer. Searching for a solution I...

Quirky and Quirky Tahr
I am confused as to the purposes and directions of Quirky v6.x and Quirky Tahr v6.x. In addition to Quirky Tahr's ability to use Ubuntu packages it looks as if other innovations are appearing in it but not in Quirky v6.x. Is Tahr being used solely as a vehicle for testing new ideas with no intention...

Font size of Seamonkey's menus
Thank you, Barry K. The chrome file works very nicely.BarryK wrote:The size of all fonts in SeaMonkey are adjustable. If not in the Preferences menu, there is a file in /root/.mozilla/seamonkey/3o1ptd5r.default/chrome that can be edited.

Puppy Pets in Quirky6
As a long time Puppy user, but with no coding ability and a 93 year old brain, I am pleasantry surprised that I had no difficulty at all in getting Quirky6 installed. It has been running for several days with no problems - just minor annoyances over my inability to set up some of my favorite feature...

Thanks, npierce.

Spellchecker in ABIword
Everything I use in Slacko-5.5 seems rock solid except for ABIword's spellchecker. When I add a new word (e.g., my name), initially flagged as misspelled, the current document subsequently accepts the spelling as being OK. However, in any new document the word is not recognized as being correct, and...

grub4dos boot optons
Is it possible to modify grub4dos to add a boot choice like "pfix-ram"?
I use grub4dos, but it always skips the initial puppy splash screen and the F2 option to add various boot options.

Re: Iron 13, Google Chrome 13, Chromium 15
This works fine for me. It installs Chrome-13 in /opt, but it won't run by clicking on an icon in /opt, returning a message that Chrome can't be run as root. It does run when clicked in the internet menu. How can I get an icon on the desktop?

Trouble with mouse pointers with Lupu-52 Guest in Windows
I am running Lupu-520 as a VirtualBox guest on Windows-XP. After some confusion I think I also have Guest Extensions running because I have got increased resolution. However, I cannot get those pesky mouse pointers to behave. I thought from my reading that Guest Extensions would give me a single poi...

I installed Firefox 3.5.2 in Ppup 4.3 beta3 and it ran fine with no problems. I then clicked help-check for updates, and when offered, upgraded Firefox to 3.5.3. CUPS Printing
CUPS does not work on my Gateway DX210X desktop.
The last time I was able to print from Puppy was in version 321.
Has CUPS been shelved since then?
