see my post on this thread: Thinkpad mousestick bug http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=36248 Short answer is, add: i8042.nomux=1 to the kernel, boot options, which, in grub, are found in the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. (It had me quite perplexed, 'till I found it multiplexed... :lol: )
