sertse, I spent several hours this weekend trying to get wifi working on 4.1.1 with an orinoco gold card on my Dell. I got it working but I don't know why it worked. Like it did with you, Pup recognized the card and detected my network but wouldn't connect. In pupget I found an app called rutilT for...

6tr6tr you are way ahead of me. I already knew I needed to mount the drive, but I'm searching the forum because I can't figure out how to do that. How did you do that?

Hi pakt, I tried wakepup and wasn't sucessful. I'll try some more, but I'm posting now because you asked for feedback. I downloaded and unzipped wakepup.exe, ran makedisk, and tried to boot. When I do I get the repeating message "FreeDOS" until the line fills, then a new line, on and on un...

Hi Ignus, no help here, I have the same problem. I had Pup 0.9.9 installed to USB. Then I updated to 1.0.4, and installed it to the same USB. Result: same as you. vmlinuz, usr_cram.fs, image.gz, and syslinux.cfg are all there so I don't know why it won't boot. Like I say it did before with the 0.9.9...

Thanks Flash, that looks real close to what I'm looking for. I think the problem pc has a FAT partition and already has pup001 on it, but that shouldn't hurt. I'm using Puppy 0.9.9 now. Maybe I'll delete pup001 from the hd, delete everything from the usb key, and start over with the newest pup. So t...

I'm new to Puppy and new to Linux. I installed Suse 8.0 to a laptop and never warmed up to it. In order for Puppy to be useful to me, I have to be able to boot it from USB key from many different computers. Bare minimum is the two I own. It boots fine from my laptop but not at all from my desktop. D...

I tried to boot my laptop from a USB CD for a week or so and never had any success. Barry told me that he didn't think it would work anyway so I gave up. Likewise, I gave up on using a USB keyboard. The same CD did boot on another machine and installed to a USB thumb drive that would boot on the lap...

I don't know much, but I know I couldn't get the usb keyboard on one of my machines to work. So I plugged in an old serial keyboard instead, puppy loves it. Puppy didn't like the usb CDrom on my laptop either.
