postgresql in Lucid Puppy 5.2

Can someone help me with the subject. I tried to install postgresql in a previous puppy with no luck. I think it boiled down to permissions issues because puppy uses root. I need apache and postgresql to run my accounting program (LedgerSMB) and not being able to get it set up in puppy is a show sto...

Nvidia G_Pup 1.1 Posters (Wolf Pup and Lobster)

Hi Lobster: Did you ever get Nvidia working with G_Pup 1.1. I haven't had any luck with either the latest pet or building with the download from Nvidia's site. If you did get it working could you give a hint as to how you got it working? The pet installs without any problem and the driver downloaded...

Hi Kal: Sorry to take so long to get back to you but the usb started to work all of a sudden. I have no idea why. But it seems that after adding the open office sfs and rebooting the usb started to mount. I have since screwed up my 2fs file so I am starting again from scratch and will follow your ad...

Hi Kal: My fstab is shown below. The lines that are commented out, are lines that I put in previously when trying to follow an earlier post from you. I commented them out because they didn't seem to work. Do you have a floppy? What partition is home (pup_save.2fs) really on? No I don't have a floppy...

Hi Kal: Attached is a shot of my /mnt directory. Also attached is a shot of my system/media directory. The only partition that will mount with a left click is the /home partition. All others produce the following error message when left clicked: A security policy in place prevents this sender from s...

Hi wow: And about glxgears you can download a pet package from: http://hosted.filefront.com/rockinfreak/1943085 Thanks. Seems that your video hardware is not powerful enought or the driver can't provide a better performance. It must be the driver because I have 512 MB ram on my video card which is a...

On my computer this problem seems to happen with compiz installed. That is, I get choppy playback when compiz is installed regardless of which media player I am using.

Choppy CD Playback on Alsaplayer when using Firefox

I am using fat free Puppy Linux and the Alsaplayer media player. I seem to have a very odd problem. The audio CD and mp3 playback is fine. However, when I'm playing back an audio CD and I use my Firefox web browser, the playback skips every time I access a different web page or reload a web page. Th...
