Graphviz files
I am trying to find an application / method to read Graphviz files in Puppy. They have a file type of .gv Apparently one solution might be for Graphviz files to be converted to SVG which can then be read by Inkscape or OO. Is there a PET for Graphviz? Is there a converter for gv to svg as an alterna...

Free memory shrinking
I have been using Puppy 4.1 for a while. I ru nit from a USB stick and have a 512MB RAM. Until recently everything was fine and during operation the indicator showed over 200MB free RAM. Now it has shrunk to 38MB and often comes up with a warning that the RAM is down to 0MB recommending reboot. Thes...

Still trying to get this wireless dongle working. I looked at dmesg and noticed that there is a line that reads: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3 Now I am using a USB2 device in a USB1.1 port. Reading the forums it suggests I need to blacklist ehci to for the device to...

I have done a Frugal install now, which boots reliably every time. I had hoped it might sort some of the missing files problems I was experiencing. I hoped! I am back where I was. zdrv_216.sfs is in the / directory not /boot /root/mount exists and is empty, now if I run: mount -o zdrv_216.sfs /root/...

Thanks. I downloaded the several packages and installed them: puppy_network_setup-v02.pet rt73-cvs-070607-k2.6.18.1.pet wpa_supplicant-0.5.8-rt73patch.pet All loaded sucessfully with no errors. I rebooted to see if it recognised my wireless dongle. Now I see I have an error showing when I run dmesg:...

Thanks.
However the previous reply did not answer the question about /etc/fstab and what needs to go there.
Also the apparent space issue between root/zdrv_216.sfs and /root/mount. I have tried it with one space (and two!) but still returns:

Is anyone able to clarify what I should be doing here? Can't find /root/mount/zdrv_216.sfs in /etc/fstab Also noticed zdrv_216.sfs is a huge file, guess I don't want it being loaded after the wireless usb is sorted. Incidentally, I am trying to use a RT73 USB dongle which from the reading suggests i...

How do you get a CWD-854 USB dongle installed?
Thanks, this is really helpful to find someone who has it working. However I think there is something I need to do first - like copying some of the driver files (but which ones? and where to?) If I: modprobe RT73 I get: FATAL: Module RT73 not found. Also I have no folder: /etc/Wireless/RT73STA/

I have Pupy 2.16.1 installed. (Which went like a dream). Now I have a USB wireless dongle I want to get running that uses the RT73 driver. I need some clear instructions how to install this. I have the latest Linux drivers which I have unpacked into a temporary folder. The instructions with the driv...
