I must be close with this one.

I wrapped a window .INF file (net2220) and it loaded and detected it. But it's not showing as a new interface.

Any tips what might bring it over the line, guys?

Actually since I've fsck this full install and it's up and running again, I'm getting the Puppy intro & prompt to save file at the end of session. Thanks bill / disciple, I fiddled with the Alsa mixer for a while but the Sgmixer audio mixer finally did the job. Maybe it was because the Sg was the clearer GUI... I did download those 'Jack' files first though bill... Process of elimination always works best! ...and of course the invaluable help ...

I got it to run that way!
If i reboot it just brings me back to the naked terminal, but if I restart JWM and drop to the prompt I get the same error again.
Going via xwin rxvt might be the only way I can load that manager but at least I can use it...
