G'day, alienjeff, no I didn't try any of the Beta's. SirDuncan, Once it has been loaded to a hard drive then it doesn't seem to matter whether it is a Frugal or a Full install. I have two partitions (on separate physical drives) and have tried upgrading an older version (2.14), frugal install, and f...

G'day, I like the 3.00 release except for three things. 1. It doesn't detect eth0 or eth1 on one computer (Desktop with asus m/board) or eth0 on the other (Gateway laptop) or load the modules (or drivers or whatever they are in the wizard for network). These worked fine previoulsy (2.14). 2. My USB ...

Webcam with Pidgin
G'day,
I have Pidgin working successfully. I also have my webcam (Logitech) working Muppy Webcam. However, I can't seem to get the webcam working with Pidgin. I get what looks like a greyed-out TV icon, as seen below next to the smilies. What must I do?

G'day, Once again thanks, but still no joy. I have Puppy installed to my hard drive so I put the sfs file in / but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I rebooted with no benefit. I don't put devx type files anywhere. I assume that they are put where they are supposed to be by whoever put them whe...

G'day, Thanks John Doe for your quick response. I have downloaded everything from the link I could but still cannot connect to my PDA. I am not sure where to put the mobi_214.sfs file, or what to do with it when it gets there. I have no idea where my save session is. It will be wherever it is suppos...

How to connect to HP iPAQ PDA running Windows Mobile?
G'day, I have an HP iPAQ PDA (Windows Mobile 2003 SE Version 4.21.1088) which connects to my computer via a cradle to USB. I am running PuppyLinux 2.16 on the computer and have been running all the releases for a few years. I have never had any luck getting Puppy to see the PDA, let alone synchroniz...

Puppy won't restart after power outage
G'day, Whenever the power goes out (or circuit-breaker breaks) and the computer is consequently turned off, PuppyLinux doesn't boot up completely. It gets to the line which says personal config script /etc/rc.d/rc.local. . . done (I can't read the first part of the line because it is set too far to ...

G'day again, I now have managed to get WINE installed (I think). The Configuration is working anyway. I cannot seem to get anything working in it. I do have some Windoze partitions, with XP and 2000. I have tried linking to programmes on these partitions (mounted) and also unzipping a Windoze applic...
