Yes, I used the "peach" that came with 1.05. I want to change it to something better. I just need to learn how to do it. It's a work in progess and an opportunity to learn.

This is a screen shot of a JWM theme that my daughter is working on for me.
Everything is a draft. It will take a while to develop the graphics.

When I asked my daughter to try it, she would have preferred vector graphics, but I wanted something rather quickly. Vector graphics are easily scalable. I'll see what she can do fur us.

Rarsa is preety much correct. I did not even consider puppy as a distro for a long time because the graphics were not comparable to the well-developed distros. Even after I converted to puppy, when I would show it to people they would wince. I know you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, ...

I have been testing Puppy 1.05 on various systems. I got it to run on an old AMD K3 (350) with 94552 KB of RAM., CD-RW, hda 20g, hdb 4g. And she ain't dog tired either.

Knoppix eat your heart out.

This little thing is amazing.

I have a Conexant HCF 56k Data/Fax/Voice Modem (Worldwide) (rev 8) modem and the HCF drivers work great...using V.92 drivers. An excellent addition. Thank you vey much.

Puppy with VirtualPC

I was able to run Puppy 1.05 as a virtual machine using the trial version of VirtualPC through Windows2000. Boot from the iso image, 200 megs RAM. NAT for internet access. Sound works fine. Dragonfly theme

When I installed the Dragonfly theme...the text under the desktop icons stayed black.
