Yes , I realise all you say. I'm not really bothered about being BANNED BUT and this is the POINT. IF this is the FIRST point of contact in PUPPY when you launch IRC and the people in charge are obviously out of touch with reality and drunk with their own awesomeness, then this will reflect badly on...

who is this idiot ? the question one should ask, is how many other people have they been obnoxious with. People with no long term association with Puppy, people like new Pupusers, who would not know were to complain about thier behaviour. Strange that he deems to be a member of this forum, TODAY and...

Banned from #puppylinux
I have just been banned from the Puppy Linux forum by KEO. This is a first for me. I was logged in under a new puppy alias and connected as a Pupuser, so presumably they thought I was a brand new. I have never been banned from anything in all my life. LOL. I feel such a rebel. I really think that if...

It can be amusing to try out the DHCP commands in a terminal window. eth0 (usually ) if you have only one ethernet card, to check float your mouse over tiny double screen icons on toolbar. dhcpcd -h give u options ( realife=$£) dhcpcd -k eth0 this will kill it dhcpcd -d eth0 to start a discovery pro...

These types of problem can seem quite strange. So your set-up is this; 1) PC plugged in directly to a cable modem using ethernet cable with no intermediate devices ?. 2) You can connect via Ubuntu but not with Puppy 4. :( 3) you do select Auto DHCP button when you configure puppy :? This would tend ...

Hello and welcome One thing to try and it's a hoary old chestnut, but, turn the modem off then on (as it holds the mac address of the network device that last connected). What IP address does your machine get ?, open terminal window and ifconfig -a don't post all of the address If it's 169.254.*.* t...

I have an issue with a change from 2.16 to 4 that may be related to this. As well as the change in not being able to resize the window from the top , the behavior = Moving a maximized window un-maximizes it, which I found intuitively useful, no longer works. This would be a jwm issue ? ( it's...
