Thanks for the help. Here is what I get when I type amarok into the konsole:

amarok: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by amarok)

Does that make sense? Is that fixable?

amarok help

Hi. Lighthouse Puppy is great. My intel wifi worked out of the box. So let me say thanks!! BUT I messed up amarok and need to know if there are any words of wisdom to get it working again. I am running in super fast FRUGAL mode. Amarok DID work. I think I broke my system, did a 'clean' during boot-u...

My next question would be:

Is there any difference between puppy kernels out there? Has any been made for RT?

I was running jack, qsynth, and DSSI-VST today. Things were running smoothly. All is well! Now all I need to do is find a way to get XMMS to run through jack.

Thanks

Hi Helander and ttuuxxx,

I am also interested in Jack2... BUT I am more interested in HOW you are able to run Jack and Puppy. Is there some magical RT kernel for puppy? I can run Jack but I get massive XRuns and cant run in realtime since nothing I am using is build for realtime.

Thanks

Hi yim, I am back using puppy again because I just fixed a laptop that was being tossed out. It is an old Dell Inspiron 8200. I bought the cheapest mini-PCI card and that turns out to have been the Intel IPW2200 BG I believe. First, I loaded Debian from a generic install CD. It knew it was there but...

Thanks to Ttuuxxx

I just wanted to give a huge Thanks to ttuuxxx (and anyone else that was involved) for making Mixx available.

I use Mixx in school to slow down audio we are learning.

As an elementary music teacher, I finally found my solution to what I need day-to-day (using different school computers via ram, USB drive...

PepperPad2 and Puppy 2.17.1 ???? Can it be done?

Seems that Puppy can boot from almost anything. I have a PepperPad2 and was wondering if there was anyone with info on this. I know the BIOS is not set up like a regular computer. But the Toshiba CF/HD 20 gig drive can be removed so I figured I might backup my drive and then give it a shot.... Intel...
