slacko6.3.0(64)
tku micko and the gang -- as long as I can hear Radio NZ and the BBC I am pretty happy, and I was having trouble since Flash seems to have been squashed and quashed lately. However, I was delighted that I can get everything I want now with the 6.3.0 after having been out of it for a couple of weeks....

Puppy can't see pictures on SD card but the camera can
When SD card is in camera I can see all the photos. When I mount the SD card on PC it shows a yellow triangle. I would like to save the 20 pix I took if I can. Never happened before. Mystified - I can see them but can't touch!

puppy528
Thank you, Beem: the link for Radio NZ International is: http://www.radionz.co.nz/audio/live/rnzi/adaptive.asx It is for WMA, and adapts to the bandwidth available to the listener. I am puzzled because 520 and some earlier Puppies have no problems, so I hope this is not a new change. Many thanks to ...

Puppy on the older eeepc (701SD 7014G)
Dear Nevermore I have an eeepc 701SD and have found Wary Puppy and Puppy 5.2 to be very good, and am trying Puppy 5.25 next. Everything I want seems to work well, and I can listen to the BBC on flash, and Radio NZ with gxine. Its small enough to be comfortable surfing in bed and reading the news, an...

Dear Gang - I am spending my retirement trying out all the Puppies - what a pleasure and how grateful I am to all you clever people. I hope to join a linux at one end of my wife's l-shaped desk to a windows one at the other. At last, she is willing to try Linux as her Windows keeps gumming up and de...

Puppy4.2
Dear Puppy Gang Very pleased with new 4.2 desktop and wallpaper, however, I installed the full codecs, M-Player and plug-in, Real Player, and Flash, but can't get BBC from their website as I used to do last month. The following stream I put into Gxine still works though: mms://livewmstream-ws.bbc.co...

Dear Taichifu I have just installed the RealPlayer 11 dotpup from http://www.puppylinux.ca/tpp/ttuuxxx/programs/multimedia/REALPLAYER-11.pet and after PetGet installed it, I added this link in the media thing at the top of Gxine: mms://livewmstream-ws.bbc.co.uk.edgestreams.net/reflector:38968#butl1 ...

asus eeepc 701SD Installing Pupeee
Happy New Year Puppians I have just bought, at reduced price, an asus EEE PC 701SD, with Xandros linux installed, (when the salesman sternly warned "Its got Linux on it", I said "that's fine!". I have Universally Installed Puppeee to a USB stick, but wonder, is the USB in the BIO...

I posted a few months back when I could not connect to Aust Dodo on DSL - I tried everything I could think of. Silly me: I had forgotten the bit (I think Barry K had written, about connecting with an ethernet cord and not via USB). Got a cord, plugged it in, connected immediately with no troubs, all...

Installing NVu on Dingo
Thank you, erikson, hairy will and Lobster  Funny, I tried puppylinux.ca last night several times and nothing seemed to happen when I clicked. This morning I tried again, it downloaded to the directory, as a pet file and clicked and installed OK, and it ran when I clicked the start menu. Yippee...

Installing_NVu_on_Dingo
I went to puppylinux.ca and downloaded the dot pup for Nvu-1.0 which appeared to install OK, shows on the start menu but still no action. I hope someone, sometime can tell me why it won't start, or what I need to do. However, I am still enjoying Dingo.
Have a nice day!
