if by "frugal install to a whole partition" you mean its the only OS installed in that partition, then yes....thats what i have....

so where should i extract the squashfile to?

hmm...thats odd...i cant seem t find my pup_save file... i didnt have a "/mnt/home"...so i had created one and put the e17_217.sfs there...didnt work... this is odd...i have tried installing frugal puppy 4 or 5 times and it never worked....this is the first time its working...but i cant fi...

Just installed Puppy 2.17 on a Compaq Armada M300 (PIII 500Mhz ATI Rage LT Pro 4MB SGRAM) - the QuickSpecs indicate that it should support 1024x768 resolution - When I had Win98 it would switch to 1024x768 but would make the desktop bigger than the screen....and if i moved the mouse to the corner it...

hmm i cant seem to access: /dev/sda1/boot/grub Did i lose the opp to do so by rebooting since? if i go into dev and click sda1 (the icon of which which looks like the insides of a hardrive) it say "I dont know how to open /dev/sda1" sda1 doesnt show up as a folder but under type it is list...
