Every time a new package is added, /root/.icewm/menu is updated; the problem is that it removes "restart computer" and "shutdown computer" entries

The kernel sources should be included in the devx package, because users need it when they want to compile drivers . I attempted to download the kernel from the official site, then issued the commands as described here http://puppylinux.com/development/compilekernel.htm Note: the link to squashfs2.1...

kernel sources used to be included in devx
to make things easy I have the already-patched source available online. Please go to my Download page for links to the patched source.

And i can't compile alsa drivers for the same reason

i don't have /proc/asound/card0, but /proc/asound/cards :

But, i have sound on other Linux distributions (and on Vi$ta)
