Congratulations, Shinobar
Thanks a lot, Shinobar.
What about a niceness option?
Thinking on Puppy Wary, mono-processor.
Files.with.severals.points.mkv
seems to give some problems.

Type a number to choose
Default behavior is to show the menu when there is at least 2 Puppy home files present at boot. Problem is that even with 1 Puppy home file there should be choice: 0 none 1 sdb1 /quirkysave_workplace1.2fs Work-around given by HairyWill some years ago is to create an empty dummy Puppy home file: 2 sd...

chm uncompress
Hi HairyWill
I would like to see something like archmage unpackager
being used by some people in puppy community.
But today I learned it is python based.
Barry is right when saying
that too much is python attached.

Most of perl and gtk dependencies are covered already.

"growisofs is a frontend of mkisofs and cdrecord. It means it can't do anything else than combine mkisofs with a pipe to cdrecord. It also autodetect settings for multisession, and set other options (as burnfree) as default. But to your case. Do I understand you right: Copy a disk with growisof...

cdrecord on DVD burning, why?
Thanks a lot for answering me, zigbert. :) Just a user, don't think I can give you an elaborated answer, but I will try to explain my reasons... Past experience with all the puppy burners made me think it is impossible to burn a DVD iso with growisofs, dd copy to disk, and then obtain the same check...

PBurn, a great program.
Some suggestions on the by now my most used tool: pburn 1) A break - point in "copy data disc..." allowing just making a dd image. 2) If using dvd-r allowing use of cdrecord too. 3) Allowing checksum of burned isos too. I know I can simply edit the command line to use cdrecord. something l...

Because it contains the eicar demo virus.
Fire-walls with antivirus scanning simply block it.
If necesary maybe packing this particular string in crypto mode.
Thanks.
