i like the bold statement
dingo is different, it's nor windows, so stick with your first "dare to be different" colour scheme, just use an Australian landscape.
The schemes colours kinda fit our dusty dry country

Barry, USB install process halted just as described in comment by "justgreg" on your blog. Exactly same point in executing the script. "I used ps-a to check the process to see where it fails. Starting the universal installer results in a new process called puppyinstaller. After select...

installation to usb memory stick problems
Loaded up ALpha 4 to cd, and booted on pentium 4, BEAUTY, much better at recognising the LCD monitor, and all drives identified. Everything seemed to work at a quick glance. So, having read of difficulties in loading to IDE hard drive, I decided to give that a miss and to load to USB kingston memory...

instructions
Barry thanks for that, The fact that you have a 'contacts' desktop icon means that you have upgraded an existing pup_save file, which is expressly warned against in the release announcement on my blog. This early alpha is not ready for that, and your pup_save file is stuffed up. Please read the inst...

some bugs
I am using dingo 392 running in ram from cd, on pentium 4 with 5112 of memory. Impressed with ease of connecting to cable, liked the auto save, and the disappearance of having to nominate file size etc on first use. On initial boot the screen had icons superimposed on each other, this ok on subseque...

Dingo, Puppy 4
A mate and I load puppy onto computers handed in for recycling. Puppy is ideal due to size and stability. Most buyers are older, just trying to begin with computers and use email, browse the web, and use a word processor. However initially they need to see an attractive, functional desktop, which th...
