to magerlab: Yes, localisation is supported. It was not included in PET intentionally, to save some space. Here is a localisation package for EDE. It includes German, French, Hungarian, Russian, Slovak and Serbian translations. to plinej: Good work, much better than my buggy (unreleased) menu genera...

Thanks for comments. muggins, menu generation script is still in my TO DO list. Now, that someone is interested, I have motivation to actually write it. Lobster, please note, that this is not only a window manager, it's a desktop environment, which includes WM, panel, desktop icon manager and config...

There is a patch for GTK to display menu items in taskbar (Gnome and XFCE). More info here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=241868 . One could make a plugin for LXPanel to display menu items, but it would be a lot of work, and I'm not sure if it is worth it.

Thanks muggins, but ddd PET doesn't work on Puppy4. Something wrong with dependencies. Might try to make it work later, or even compile it, but now I'll just have to stick with commandline gdb. EDIT: tried to compile ddd on Puppy4 - got an error: In file included from /usr/include/Xm/XmP.h:1646, fro...

It compiles without errors on Puppy 4, not sure if there was any warnings. I tried using gdb, here's what I got: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0xb7d479cf in gdk_window_invalidate_rect () from /usr/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 I might retry debugging after reading a gdb manual. Also...

Thanks for improvements, now my laptop runs in native resolution (1280x800) in VESA mode. Unfortunately, there's a few bugs: * after saving session to partition (frugal mode), it doesn't get loaded after next reboot; * in package manager there are no icons in package list, they appear after selectin...

Are you at the extreme end of the slider when this happens? Is your window manager jwm (the default one)? I will have a look at the mixer choice idea. I am using IceWM as window manager. On my setup master volume can only be at 100% and 0%, because of mixers' capabilities (pswitch). Crash happens w...
