Recently I have purchased Tata Photon usb modem & I am having trouble configuring the same in all the latest versions of puppy, as the usb modem is not detected at all.Kindly help me. I tried using it in all versions of lucid puppy, Macpup etc.

tried booting with acpi=off option works like a charm no more slowing downs you mention that ver 4.01 everything works out of the box where can i get this version

i am using the above mobo with 1 gb ram of late i am experiencing a typical problem when i boot puppy 3.01 the machine slows down incredibly i tried a clean install as well can any body help me with this thank u in advance

thankx for the solution. sorry i have been a little late in answering but i was busy conf ubuntu on the MOBO againg with little results, puppy works fine modifed booting but still no sound with alsa mixer.will try with clean install and will be back with results.
