Hi ereru - without knowing the specs of the Thinkpad and it's sound card I am going to hazard a guess that your sound system does not have a "loopback" function in it's mixer. In other words - it can record from an external source such as mic or maybe line in - but cannot record it's digit...

True backi. Just yesterday our Prime Minister talked about "travel authorisation certificates" and "health status documents" being required for select individuals to move around. Clearly there is an intention to use COVID as a justification for massive controls of the populace. B...

So that’s like a 1 bar electric fire in old money. 1kw. 10000w right? That’s a big output. Does it run on car/jet/boat batteries ok? Besides the loss that you mention with lead acid. Periodic use or 24/7? Not 10000w, just 1000w. I don't have it running yet - I have been buying new panels over the l...

True. These panels have internal Schottky diodes to prevent back flow so all should be well unless they fail...

How about two 12v solar panels and a step down converter... You mean two panels in series? Yes, that would give me a system voltage of 24v which is a good idea because there are less transmission losses in higher voltages. However - this will still give me the same issues of needing some form of st...

Three 6 volt tractor/golf cart batteries hooked up in series? Yes that will work to some extent - although as BurnIT pointed out the actual battery voltage is higher than nominal so 3x "6v" in series would probably settle at something more like 19v. Definitely useable but not quite ideal....

And thanks for the link to your lithium project. Lots of good info there.
Especially the comments re lead acid limitations:

I read your first post, but cannot see what the problem is. Yes, sorry it may not be very well explained. If you have a MPPT controller, it will translate the panel output, let's say 18V at 5.5A, to whatever it charges the battery at, say 13.5V, at 7.4A (slightly less than that, due to losses in th...

Also, hospital masks are not designed to be reused, but thrown away after each patient has been attended to. That's why they need so many of them. Although it does appear that the CDC considers "crisis" conditions to be an acceptable reason for cleaning & re-use of masks: https://www....

I see all this comments on what to do. MOST are no sense. Parasites, mites, Bacteria, germs are one thing. Clearly hygiene and sterilize methods can combat most of them. I am no expert and I do not want to confuse you even more, but Virus are a different evil. This guys work at DNA level. COVID-19 ...
