The Deadbeef 0.5.6 pet that I uploaded yesterday came with a blank desktop entry (buildpet script error). I have fixed the pet and uploaded it again under the same name.

.. I wanted to convert m4a to mp3. I clicked "Play" to test the file. Then DeadBeef popup, but it's freezed and then crashed the system. I discovered, that I still have Deadbeef 0.5.6 which I compiled before. Maybe that will fix your mp3 problem. (hopefully) http://www.smokey01.com/Tman/a...

Thanks, very much. :) EDIT: I spoke too soon.I guess I got lucky yesterday, because my wifi is exibiting connection loss again. I am suspecting that Ubuntu Studio has a newer driver that is...

Hi Rerwin, I haven't done any intensive testing with your new version of Frisbee, but I've tested it out for about half an hour, and find that the connection sometimes drops out on me. This is the same though for the Puppy Network Setup wizard as well. I have Ubuntu Studio installed on the same comp...

I wish you all the best, Geoff. But there is no need to cut off Puppy completely. Take a step back from being a developer and enjoy being a Puppy user, and perhaps advisor to upcoming developers. Surely, you have time to pop in the forum once in a while. But yes, do take care of your family first.

Hi Smithy, Well the simplest way that I can think of is to customize Firefox the way that you like it, then during the remaster process, copy everything from /root/.mozilla/firefox to /tmp/root/.mozilla/firefox . The drawback to this is that the size of your iso will increase substantially. You can ...

James C,

That's a very nice looking JWM theme you have there. But what's even more interesting to me is how have set up your menu. Can I ask how you implemented this? If possible, I would like to do something similiar, for a future release.

Attached is Viewnior 1.3 compiled in TintedSlacko 5.5, along with the buildpet scripts I created to compile it. Shared-mime-info is needed as a compile-time dependency. Mick, if you haven't already, please take a look at buildpet (based on Iguleder's work). In the long run, it will save a lot of tim...

Volhout, Thanks for testing and for your feedback. I still prefer Firefox because of the Add-ons I use for it, but perhaps I will build a version with Opera web browser for a change. Is that package manager compatible with other Puppy versions? If buildpet script is in good functional state why not...

Tman , I have created a new package manager for Akita, and within it is a frontend for buildpet. If you are interested, the buildpet tab could be extracted and used standalone in tinted Slacko, or whatever else contains buildpet > 0.5 .. Thanks very much, sc0ttman. I've been meaning to create a fro...

Hi Ansivar,

ipager does work, but have you tried the Tint2 themes; numbers 3 and 4? They have separate boxes in the taskbar for each virtual desktop.

Also you can switch desktops by using your mouse and scrolling up or down on the taskbar.

I tried your pet, thanks for your efforts.

Version 0.5 has been uploaded. See the first post for the download link. I have added deadbeef, conky, and zsnes. You can enable/disable conky with Appstarter. The code for the resuspend issue has also been added. Recently someone sent me a pdf file that I was not able to view with the default pdf v...

Thanks Marv, for the feedback. I will add the script to fix the resuspend issue. I created the spacefm pet with the --disable-desktop-integration option on purpose, but attached is the buildpet script I used for it. Just remove the phony .gz extension and move the file to the /usr/share/buildpet fol...

I was checking your webpage, and you had a "forever" money-back guarantee.
I am not sure if that is wise, perhaps you should shorten it "a bit".
For me, 6 months would be plenty.

I didn't compile it. The links are apps from the Slacko repo. at ibiblio.org.
But I'm glad to know it works. Shinobar's getnvidia pet compiles Nvidia driver as well.

Pkgdialog: frontend for Pkg cli package manager

I just tried tried it out for a bit. Yes, a lot of functions are still buggy, but the build files from source option works great. Well done, Sc0ttman! :D
