Subject description: Any available for Puppy?

Hi.

I recently started to do some kind of a 'database' to have overview and quick access to all music files of my compositions to listen or to edit. I was using Notecase, which seems to be too much work to do to achieve my goal.

So, is there some kind of a simple Content Management System available running in Puppy?

It should provide options to use links to files but even to execute scripts and/or programs when clicking an object.

Hope you'll understand the problem...

Thanks

I would recommend a php based web application. You know use your Hiawatha server add mysql or a mariaDB database server with PHP7 or so........OR look into using XAMPP or a similar LAMP for a fast set up....look at Bitnami
https://bitnami.com/stacks

lots of applications for content management.....maybe something just like your looking for. If you are interested and need some tips setting it up shoot over a message.

Hello, RSH.

How is your music collection organized?

I have mine in a single Music folder, plus sub-folders for genres and
sub-sub-folders for musicians/singers, and I find I do not need a
"database" per se. (Please see attached screen capture.)

If I want to play a piece, I simply drill down in the sub-sub-folder and
click on it.

Just an idea.

Also, you can create lists with some music players like aqualung.
Others, like Jajuk, will scan your entire music collection and
build the database for you.

IHTH.
