Sound settings not saved in Xenialpup 7.5

Hello,
I have started using Xenialpup 7.5.
when i first start the session, I setup the wifi card and sound card to make sure all is working. When I reboot, only the wifi works. I need to use sound wizard again to reset sound to card 2 below.

I have the following sound cards;
card 0; generic {HD audio generic} device 3: HDMI 0 {HDMI 0}
card 2: SB {HDA ATI SB} device 0 : ALC269VB {ALC269VB ANALOG}

Can you please help in setting the correct settings for my puppy to keep settings between sessions?
Can i possibly save these settings (correct card and volume) and then call them up in a terminal command?

saves the alsa settings.

alsactl restore

restores the saved alsa settings. I hope this helps. You should probably set card 2 as default card in retrovol. Right click the tray icon of retrovol and choose Settings, tab Hardware and set Sound Card hw:2.
