I have nothing against FreeOffice, but, IMHO anything compatible with WIN-10 should not be put into a Linux machine.

Oh wow...How about hardware? Would it be OK to have a windows 10 compatible hard drive installed in a linux machine? Or maybe windows 10 compatible RAM?

No you cannot use Windows 10 RAM in a Linux machine; It just won't work!!

In the same way you cannot use a Linux drive in a Windows machine!!

Oh silly me... The software can convert to/from docx, xlsx.
