How do I prevent a wifi driver loading at boot?

#1 Post by barriew »

After trying all the zd1211 drivers, I find that the proprietary one that came with my adapter suits me best, but every time I boot zd1211rw loads and appears to be used. (I judge this by the connection speed that I get)

Can I prevent zd1211rw from being loaded and used?

I think you should just add zd1211rw to the skip list in rc.modules.

The file is /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

For puppy 2.14 the skip list is in line 32 of that file.

when you edit the file make sure that you leave one space after the module name before closing quotes.
